EXPERIENCE

  • Computer Solutions - August 1992 – Present

As the owner, I provide personal computer sales, installation, setup, support, programming and training for business and personal use. Clients include individuals and the commercial and academic community. Programming languages include HTML, C++, Visual Basic, and Visual Basic for Applications. Database applications include Access and Oracle SQL/PL1. Operating systems include DOS, Windows 3.1, 95, 98, , ME, 2000, XP and NT. Systems include standalone IBM compatibles and peer-to-peer networks. Software includes all Microsoft, Lotus, and Word Perfect suites.

  • Contel/GTE Data Services - March 1984 - August 1992

As the Coordinator Data Disaster Recovery/Security, I coordinated work on disaster recovery planning and data security for the Western Region. As the Analyst Procedures and Methods, I analyzed data processing tasks and systems, wrote documentation to perform or maintain them, and established documentation standards. As the Timeshare Programmer, I developed and maintained programs and online systems. I also served as the department support person for PC users in my department. Platforms included the DEC VAX, Honeywell DPS8, 3-Com and IBM LANs, IBM PCs and compatibles. Languages included FMS, Datatrieve, DCL, BASIC, Fortran, Pascal, COBOL, and C. PC applications included dBase, Lotus 123, Windows, Word Perfect, and Framework. Operating systems included VMS, GCOS, and DOS.
